In recognition of?#WorldAIDSDay?on December 1, our LGBTQ+ team resource group, Prism, hosted a fireside chat with Chicago House and Social Service Agency?for a discussion on destigmatizing HIV/AIDs. One of the key takeaways from the conversation was that open conversation, eliminating stigma, and providing safe and supportive housing are essential to ending the HIV/AIDS epidemic. As a team of people committed to creating incredible communities for our residents to call home, this resonated strongly with LivCorians. We're proud to provide our humans with an environment where they feel empowered to be themselves and care for their wellbeing. Thank you to Prism for hosting this rewarding event—giving us the opportunity to support our communities, promote greater inclusivity, and honor World AIDS Day together. ??

At LivCor, we take "pics or it didn't happen" very seriously—because did you even attend the quarterly board meeting if you didn’t get a group selfie? ?? This week, LivCor leaders gathered to discuss performance, market trends, and focus areas so that we can continue leading the industry and creating great places for our residents to live, work, and grow. "But first, let me take a selfie!" ??

This month, we're planting seeds with our annual Grow conversations—open and honest discussions between LivCorians and their leaders about what they can start, stop, and continue to #grow?in the year ahead. ?? Don't be fooled—Grow isn’t your average, old-school performance review. It's a transparent, two-way conversation where team members also give feedback to their leaders?on what they need to best support their individual career growth and development. We don't shy away from providing direct and transparent feedback, because it's critical for our humans to know where they stand and how they can get better at their jobs. We consider it the water, sunshine, and soil that's needed to cultivate our team so they can take the next step in their career journey. Happy Grow-ing!

Wearing a uniform means demonstrating resilience, courage, and sacrifice. It means making a commitment to protect the freedoms that we often take for granted.? ?? Ain’t no tower high enough... to keep these LivCorians from getting to the top! As part of the?Shirley Ryan AbilityLab?Skyrise Challenge, they conquered 105 flights and 2,149 stairs for a good cause. Raising money to support the global leader in physical rehabilitation, these impressive humans climbed from the ground floor of the Willis Tower (almost) all the way to the top—with the entire Chicago skyline serving as the perfect finish line.?Talk about stepping up! Congratulations to all our participants! You continue to prove that the sky is the limit here at LivCor. ??

LivCorians were shining bright on?#Diwali!??? Is there a better way to celebrate one of the biggest and brightest Indian holidays than with great food, henna, and diya decorating? Thank you to our API team resource group, ASPIRE, for giving the Chicago team a taste of Diwali (literally!). We shared samosas, biryani, and gulab jamun while learning the cultural significance behind this vibrant holiday and its celebration of hope. ?? LivCor does Halloween #GoodNeighbor?style. Last week, LivCorians dressed to impress for our monthly Huddle. A handful of iconic neighbors made an appearance, including Kimmy Gibbler, My Neighbor Totoro, and Steve Urkel (did I do that?). Happy Halloween from the festive faces (or lack thereof—shout-out to our masked friends) at LivCor! We wish you a day full of all treats, no tricks. ????

When the trip makes it out of the group chat... and by that, we mean—when LivCor leaders close Zoom and get together face-to-face for 2025 planning. Last week, our leadership team met in Chicago to discuss priorities, goals, and focus areas for next year—setting the stage for another year of leading the industry. So, naturally, we turned it into a photo op! ?????? ? Huge thank you to all LivCorians (across every team at every level) who helped plan, prep, and execute these meetings. They say it takes a village... we say it takes a team of really good humans. We're grateful for ours.

If you had been at the LivCor office on Sunday, you would've had a fantastic view of more than 52,000 humans who ran past Willis Tower in the Chicago Marathon—including our own Chloe Solon! ????♀????? Chloe ran 26.2 miles to support Special Olympics and promote the inclusion of people with disabilities in sports. Talk about Good Neighbor energy (energy, energy!). Congrats, Chloe!

Today is #NationalComingOutDay, and our LGBTQIA+ team resource group, Prism, is celebrating our CorValue of #BeYouBeRealBeOpen. ??? On this day, we celebrate the courage and authenticity of those in the LGBTQIA+ community who have taken the brave step of coming out. We understand that coming out is a deeply personal journey that can take time, and LivCor will continue to increase representation, support, and uplift one another to ensure everyone knows they have a safe space here to be their full, authentic self.?
