Little Otter saves the day and I can't thank them enough! ?? I spend a lot of time helping people find therapists and I can say finding a child therapist who has availability is damn near impossible. Rebecca Egger heard me and immediately jumped into action to help. Within 12 hours she helped get a child therapist for a family I've been trying to help. To say they saved the day is an understatement and I'm very grateful. If you need a child or family therapist, call Little Otter! They're amazing.

Our co-founder and CEO, Rebecca Egger, was the keynote speaker for Pearl Hacks at her alma mater, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill! Pearl Hacks is a hackathon dedicated to women and gender non-conforming people in tech. Rebecca attended the first ever Pearl Hacks at #UNC while in her undergrad, so calling it a full-circle moment feels spot on. #TeamOtter is so proud of you, Rebecca! ?? ?? #FemaleFounders
Full-circle moment! This weekend I had the absolute joy of keynoting Pearl Hacks, UNC’s women and non-binary hackathon. I participated in the very first Pearl Hacks in 2014 (!!) so coming back a decade later was a treat. I met brilliant engineers and was blown away by what they built in just 24 hours. Generative AI is changing the game, making it possible to go from idea to prototype faster than ever. On stage, I shared a few lessons that have guided my career: - Be Weird:? Success isn’t about fitting a mold; it’s about doubling down on what makes you exceptional. Find your strengths, lean into them, and don’t waste time trying to be “well-rounded.” - Be Fearless: Take the risk. Send the cold email. Reach out to the mentor. The difference between those who succeed and those who don’t isn’t always talent—it’s action. - Be Reliable: Like it or not, women and minorities don’t get as much leeway here. Your reputation isn’t just about the big wins; it’s built on small, consistent actions. Show up, follow through, and build trust. That’s what unlocks real opportunities. Want to see the full talk? Let me know, and I’ll share! Huge thanks to Chiara Sabato for having me and putting on such a great event! Please tag your fellow organizers and volunteers! #hackathon #womenintech

THIS. THIS. THIS. I SAY THIS ALL THE TIME. Just like with teachers - the way we increase the workforce is to pay people more. To pay people more we need have higher reimbursement. To have higher reimbursement we need to value mental health.

There's not a therapist shortage. There's a "master's level professional who will work full time for less than $50,000 a year" shortage. #mentalhealth #therapy #therapists

Families don’t exist in silos—when one person struggles, everyone feels it. But most traditional mental health care focuses only on individuals. We needed a care model that puts children, parents, and their relationships at the center of every decision. Since no comprehensive model existed, we built one. Our Little Otter Outcomes Data shows that when kids get care, the whole family system?is strengthened: ? 80% of children show clinically significant improvement in 12 sessions. ? 71% of children are in remission after 12 weeks of sessions which is 2.6x better than the standard remission rate of 27%. ? 3 in 4 parents have clinically significant reduction in anxiety and depression. Too many families struggle without support, but we're changing that. Swipe to see the challenges we’re tackling and how The Little Otter Way is making a difference for children and families.
