11 is the only number retired at the Little League World Series Each year No. 11's make it to Williamsport, learn the story of firefighter Michael Cammarata who was last seen entering the World Trade Center on September 11, and appreciate the reason they'll make new memories in a new number. #LLWS #NeverForget #September11

Let’s Play Ball for a Better World ?? ?? VP of Philanthropy & Social Impact at Little League International ???Empowering Youth & Communities
Becoming a mom has shaped so much of who I am and the choices I make. Since becoming a parent, I've discovered new strengths and learned so more about myself than I ever expected. During my first Little League International World Series, I had the opportunity to connect with the parents of girls who broke barriers by competing in the Little League Baseball World Series. These conversations gave me a deeper understanding of the magic and importance of Little League. As parents, it's our mission to teach our daughters that they can be and do anything. Organizations like Little League join us in this mission, helping to instill confidence, courage, and resilience to rise in the face of challenges. While my daughter isn’t on the field just yet, I look forward to the day she is—and I can't wait to watch her play ball and be her biggest cheerleader. ???? https://lnkd.in/eJehegff #littleleague #workingmom #youthsports #girlswithgame

To the parents of #GirlsWithGame everywhere, THANK YOU?for being their biggest champions, for standing beside them as they grow into the strong, capable women we know they can be. Together, we are raising the next generation of leaders, athletes, and change-makers, and that is something truly extraordinary. ???? Read the full letter from Delvina L. After about a week of decompressing and reflection on what was a crazy, exhausting, but absolutely magical summer in celebration of 50 years of girls in the Little League International program, I just want to say THANK YOU to everyone who made this year possible for kids all around the world. One of the key values of the Little League program is TEAMWORK and these events would not be possible if everyone did not contribute in their own ways. From our amazing summer interns and residents who not only learned from us (but more importantly taught us a ton as well) to our full-time staff who dedicate every day to making the experience special, and most importantly the volunteers who step up to the plate more and more each year to provide an amazing experience. THANK YOU to our incredible team for another job well done. I don't think the magnitude of this summer will really hit me until we start finalizing our recaps over the coming weeks, but it was truly something special that we all accomplished over these last two months. Now, it's time to do what nobody else understands, and return to working on "the other 10 months" as we prepare, train, and educate our volunteers for their regular season in communities all around the world. While working in sports can be exhausting at times, especially in the heart of the largest youth sports tournament in the world, it really is amazing to reflect back and know that our work is making a difference, not just on one person, but on kids from all around the world. To my fellow Little League employees and our dedicated volunteers, keep up the amazing work. To our interns and residents that only spent a short time with us, I hope the lessons you learned will help you grow not only as a professional, but personally as well. And finally, to the kids who we strive to support every day, keep being you and have fun in this amazing game. We are all here for you, and hope you will inspire the next generation to love this game as much as we do.
