Today we are thrilled to announce a significant milestone: the installation of the 200,000th Little Free Library book-sharing box! ???? This landmark library has been donated to Benjamin E. Mays IB World School, an elementary school in St. Paul’s historic Rondo neighborhood. It marks the first of 200 Little Free Libraries we're granting to Title I schools across the country, in an effort to expand children’s access to books. THANK YOU to all of the stewards and supporters who got us to the 200k milestone. We're also grateful to our partners who sponsored in part today's event, the 200 Little Free Libraries reaching 200 Title I schools, and the 40,000+ brand-new books to fill them. Special thanks to Veronica Valerio Beato, Maya Livingstone, and Claire von Schilling of Penguin Random House; Brooklyn Public Library, The Seattle Public Library, and SJSU School of Information of Books Unbanned; and Mortenson for their support of our work to expand book access.
