We are very fortunate to have a dynamic and engaged national board of directors. This month, our board members traveled from around the country to our office in St. Paul for a retreat to discuss big ideas for Little Free Library. We're grateful for the time and expertise they devote to our mission of building community, inspiring readers, and expanding book access for all. Thank you, Jake Adams, Migell Acosta, Heather Butts, Anthony Chow, Michelle H., Shauntina Lilly, Hannah Moore, Todd Newcomer, CPA, CFE, Malcolm Persen, Noel Sackett, Jen Thorson, Jeff Tobler, Sabrina West Morris, M.Ed., and Nancy Wulkan, whether you were able to attend in person or not. We appreciate all of your work this year! #gratitude #boardmembers #boardofdirectors #board #littlefreelibrary #littlefreelibraries #community #bookaccess

Building Community | Inspiring Readers | Expanding Book Access for All
关于我们
Little Free Library is a nonprofit organization that inspires readers, builds community, and expands book access for all through a global network of volunteer-led little libraries. Through Little Free Libraries, millions of books are shared each year, profoundly increasing access to books for readers of all ages and backgrounds. There are more than 150,000 registered Little Free Library book exchanges worldwide, found in 50 states, 120 countries, and on all 7 continents. Our vision is a Little Free Library in every community and a book for every reader. We believe all people are empowered when the opportunity to discover a personally relevant book to read is not limited by time, space, or privilege. The Little Free Library nonprofit received the World Literacy Award and has been honored by the Library of Congress, the National Book Foundation, Library Journal, the Women's National Book Association, and others.

We are so excited to partner with the Little Free Library! Their mission and values align perfectly with ours at Cubles. This special edition Cūble celebrates the joy of reading and the mission of Little Free Library to share books and build connections in communities worldwide. Designed for hands-on creativity, the Little Free Library Cūble is perfect for families, book lovers, and anyone who believes in the power of storytelling. You can get one for yourself here and support this amazing organization: https://lnkd.in/gEQRPDXt But thank you to the LFL team who has been amazing to work with!!
Presenting the cutest Little Free Library ever! Along with Cubles and founder Joel Morris, we are delighted to introduce the Little Free Library Cuble, a 3D paperboard constructable book-sharing box standing 4-? inches tall. The collaboration came about in a serendipitous way: We were on a Zoom call with the publisher Scholastic when an LFL staff member spotted a small Dog Man figure on a bookshelf in the background and learned it was a “Cuble.” When we investigated, we discovered the Cubles company was based in Arden Hills, Minnesota, not far from our St. Paul office. After meeting Joel, we clearly saw our shared values of more engagement and less screen time. “Strong organizational relationships are foundational to our mission,” said LFL Executive Director M. Greig Metzger. “The opportunity to work together in that mission with a local company like Cubles makes our efforts even more rewarding.” Learn more and get your own Little Free Library Cuble: https://lflib.org/cuble #minnesota #twincities #stpaul #collaboration #screentime #reading #cubles #littlefreelibrary #littlefreelibraries

Florida has more access to books, thanks to your support! Every month, we grant Little Free Library book-sharing boxes full of books to the under-resourced communities that need them most through our Impact Library Program. Recipient JaKevis B. in Wauchula, Florida, tells us: “I can’t thank you enough for the support you’ve given us through the Little Free Library Impact Program. It truly means the world to us and the families at The Palms Apartments. This library is going to make a real difference, one that goes beyond just books. It’s about providing access to new opportunities and creating a spark for learning, growth, and community right where people live. We recently updated the name of our subproject to the Multi-Family Housing Literacy Initiative.” Together, we can increase book access for all! Little Free Library has arrived at Red Lake Nation College! We were pleased to grant through our Indigenous Library Program two book-sharing boxes and a selection of culturally relevant books to RED LAKE NATION COLLEGE, Minneapolis site, the first tribal college site in a major U.S. city. “Red Lake Nation College is proud to be hosting a Little Free Library,” said Sarah Barott, faculty member in the English department. “Literacy is such an important skill, and ensuring that the Native American community has access to high-quality books where they can see themselves reflected is an honor." Special thank you to Milkweed Editions and Katie Hill for donating their Indigenous-authored books as part of the celebration; Montana Poet Laureate Chris La Tray for joining us; the staff at RLNC, including Sarah Barott, Karen Joy, and Brandon Vasquez; and Indigenous Library Program Manager Talia Miracle.
