Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) Update ? Our Innovate RAP continues to progress with new strategies set in place such as staff engagement and procurement, and we have conducted a review of cultural learning within the organisation as LLS is committed to fulfilling future educational requirements in relation to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders and documenting past learnings as we are reminded that the past informs the present and shapes the future. We continue to meet the RAP Governance pillars through deliverables such as completing the Reconciliation Australia (RA) impact measurement questionnaire (annual reporting deliverable) and maintaining Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander representation on the RAP Working Group where we meet quarterly to drive and monitor RAP implementation. LLS is committed to affecting change for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples which is evident in some of the types of cases we fund, most recently stolen wages Northern Territory and stolen wages Western Australia (see more information here: https://lnkd.in/g2DfvHBF). Litigation Lending is excited to announce the appointment of our new Investment Manager, Maximilian H.. ? Max holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Sydney. Max was admitted to the legal profession in 2016 and has extensive experience in complex litigation in a broad range of practice areas, most recently as a senior lawyer at Australian Government Solicitor in the Civil Claims team. Max also worked as an Associate at the Federal Court of Australia from 2017 to 2019. Commencing with Litigation Lending in February 2025, Max has specialist knowledge and experience in large and complex litigation, including in areas of commercial and contractual disputes, insolvency, lands acquisition matters, complex tort claims, and native title litigation. ? Thank you Shaun Bonétt ???? For the past eight years, we have benefited from Shaun’s extensive expertise and unwavering commitment as part of the Life Ed Australia Board. Having held the position of Deputy Chair since 2017, been a member of the Nominations Committee since 2018, and a Trustee Director of the Life Education Foundation since 2019, Shaun’s support has included sage counsel, unique insights and in-kind resources. He has also contributed significantly financially through the company he founded Precision Group, who have recently extended their silver partnership for a further three years. He introduced Life Ed to Prezzee as well, which has led to our not-for-profit benefiting from donations through their Give Back Charity Gift Card initiative. This ongoing support is but one piece of the legacy he leaves as he retires from our Board this year after an inspiring tenure, best summarised through words from our Board Chair Sue O'Malley GAICD: ?? “Shaun has encouraged careful planning, reminding us that every choice shapes a larger future beyond immediate results, and through all the noise, the focus must always be on purpose and collective growth.
