How sad to learn of the passing of Ruth Colvin. A remarkable leader who not only touched my life, but in the lives of countless others. I was blessed to have met and speak with Ruth at a ProLiteracy Conference many years ago. She sat with me at a workshop and kindly asked about what I did. In our conversation I confessed to being ready to leave the organization, I felt so inadequate. She gave me a hug and said," Don't you ever give up, those students need you!" Thank you Ruth, you were right, I didn't give up.
