Literacy Access Fund? (LAF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing financial support to community-based organizations, specifically libraries, to purchase educational technology solutions and to support education and/or literacy programs for children ages 2-12. LAF is seeking a board member to serve a term of two years and may be re-elected for up to two additional consecutive two-year terms.? The position is remote and voluntary, and directors shall receive no compensation for their services as directors or as committee members. Interested? Literacy Access Fund?, is a 501(c)(3), public charity. Our mission is to make literacy a possibility for every child, in every community. We know that early on, access to quality education resources helps children gain the literacy skills they need to be successful in school and in life. We award grants to underfunded public libraries so they can provide equal access to under-served children, ages 2-12, regardless of economic factors. By supporting LAF, you can help provide these needed educational tools and literacy programs for early learners.
