??This week, co-founder Miriam Rubin, MBA presented on Suffolk University’s Women in the Workforce Panel alongside Niru D. Leah Grannum and Tamika Jacques, Ed.D. ??Miriam shared some words of wisdom for young women entering the workforce, including: ?There is no ONE way to be an effective leader. ?Don’t assume that if it’s obvious to you, it’s obvious to others and don’t be afraid to state the obvious. ?Instead of telling women to “be more confident,” we should focus on empowering women with the tools, knowledge, connections, and ownership they need to feel confident. Thank you, Suffolk University for including us in this inspiring event!

Partnering with employers & mothers to reimagine the workplace
关于我们
Drawing on the insights of working mothers, we collaborate with business leaders to shift culture and implement practices that retain and grow talent. Despite the gains made in employment by our mothers and grandmothers, mothers and caregivers continue to lack structural and systematic support. We cannot access to sufficient paid leave, reliable and affordable childcare, or the flexibility required to balance work and caregiving, to name a few. To grow our economy and meet the challenges of our times, we need to listen to working mothers and transform the workplace to work for all employees, not just some. We use data-driven engagement processes and cutting edge research to help employers develop policies and practices that retain and grow their talent pools.

Our latest research on paid leave is making waves—and touching a nerve. Moms First and McKinsey & Company uncovered a paid leave paradox that’s grabbing headlines in Forbes, Bloomberg, Fast Company, Motherly?, and more: ?? Dads are 25% more likely to be eligible for paid family leave—but 25% less likely to take it. ?? In just three states (NY, NJ, CA), fathers left 4 million weeks of paid leave on the table in 2022. ?? The #1 reason? More than two-thirds of men believed they didn’t need to take leave if their partner did. But here’s the truth: When dads take leave, moms have better career outcomes, kids thrive, and families are stronger. It’s time to change the script. The fight for paid leave isn’t just about policy. It’s about shifting culture, too. Because caregiving isn’t a mom’s job—it’s a partnership. Read the report to dig into the research behind the headlines—and how tools like PaidLeave.AI can help expand access: https://lnkd.in/eGs62zcZ

This #InternationalWomensDay, take a moment to read about the history of working women from our Co-Founder Renée ?m?ladé (Omolade). If you do a quick search for "first working women in America," Renée notes, you’ll see many articles highlighting the experiences of white women entering the workforce during the 1920’s; a narrative which contrasts the historical reality, perpetuating a dangerous and inaccurate portrayal of the American workforce. Renée shares a more accurate and full history of working mothers in America, which acknowledges the significant contributions of Black women to the nation’s economic prosperity. https://lnkd.in/eMTT9P6U
