I had a great whirlwind trip to Houston last week with my Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) coworker, David Johnson, for B2G VICTORY's event Pancakes with Primes (https://b2gvictory.com/md/), an exclusive MD Anderson-sponsored event designed to match Texas HUB-Certified construction contractors with large prime contractors. We had the opportunity to share more about LISC's supplier diversity initiatives (like the Corporate Alliance for Supplier Capital) with dozens of small businesses. The event was extra special because B2G Victory is a LISC investee as well, and this was the first chance I got to meet Julie Irvin Hartman, MBA in person (if you don't know her, she is an amazing resource and partner for small businesses in TX and beyond!). (We also squeezed in a lovely post-flight lunch with Desurai Wilson and Whitney Burrell of Laveer Logix , a LISC borrower and investee - learn more about Desurai's story here https://lnkd.in/e5YZgvn6)
