How has #ChatGPT changed the job market? The #AI Maps team just wrapped up a far-reaching study tracking AI jobs across the US economy, and the numbers are stunning! ??AI job postings shot up 68% since ChatGPT's launch, while overall job postings dropped 17% ?? AI jobs now make up nearly 20% of all IT job postings (up from just 8% in 2022) ?? Five sectors account for almost 90% of all AI jobs in the US Tech consulting and professional services are leading the charge in AI job postings, making up 25% of the market, followed closely by the Information sector (24%). What's surprising, though, is how traditional manufacturers are getting in on the action, accounting for 16% of AI-related job listings. It's also worth noting that #Amazon dominates retail AI hiring, posting over 70% of the sector's AI jobs. Meanwhile, traditional powerhouse sectors like healthcare and hospitality are still figuring out how to integrate AI into their physical-first operations. We're witnessing a fundamental shift in how companies approach talent and technology.
