Veronica Gomez de Ramos, a senior executive administrative assistant at Link Logistics’ Chicago office, is proud of her Guatemalan heritage. Her great-grandparents emigrated from Japan to Guatemala in the early 1900s—and more than 100 years later, most of Veronica’s family still lives in the Central American country. She has many childhood memories of hiking ancient Mayan trails, exploring black sand beaches and participating in Antigua’s colorful Holy Week celebrations. “My cultural heritage and upbringing inspire my passion for connecting with others from diverse backgrounds—including those from the Latino or Hispanic Latinx community,” says Veronica. “This value continues to enrich my life.” ? #NationalHispanicHeritageMonth #NationalHispanicLatinxHeritageMonth #WeAreLinked #PeoplePowered

As we continue to celebrate #NationalLatinxHispanicHeritageMonth, we’re spotlighting Benjamin Hernandez, SVP, Business Transformation Office, whose Cuban heritage continues to inspire him. After emigrating from Cuba in 1969 as political refugees, Ben’s parents settled in Michigan and dedicated their lives to serving the local Latinx community. His family encouraged him to pursue his education and aim high throughout his childhood.
