Pricing is a critical feature of restaurant revenue management In the current market, consumers are tired from years of price increases and operators continue to be pressured by costs that remain high across COGs, labor, occupancy. Correct pricing decisions remain critical. While restaurants often try to account for how prospective price changes will impact traffic, it is less frequent that we see operators adjusting mix/cart when considering changes.? Chipotle has published quarterly comps, price, and mix/cart since the beginning of 2023 and also for FY 2022. For Chipotle, around 60% of the price has made its way to check average.? At Linked Eats, our Smart Pricing product uses AI to micro-adjust prices on an automated and continuous basis within 3PD delivery platforms.? By using automation and making micro-adjustments we can take into account factors such as impacts to cart/mix and conversion.? In this way it can optimize pricing to drive operators’ goals whether for transactions or revenue.
