Sam Waterston is renowned for his remarkable career in film, television, and theater. An Emmy Award winner with a career spanning decades, Waterston has garnered numerous accolades, including Golden Globe, SAG, Oscar, and Tony Award nominations. He is widely recognized for his portrayal of President Abraham Lincoln in the critically acclaimed play "Abe Lincoln in Illinois," which earned him a Tony nomination, as well as in other productions that have brought Lincoln’s legacy to life.?Beyond his acting, Sam has dedicated himself to humanitarian causes, including his leadership at Oceana and Refugees International. Lincoln Presidential Foundation, in partnership with the Lincoln Home National Historic Site (NHS), Looking for Lincoln, and the Jewish Federation of Springfield, hosted members of the Julius Rosenwald Initiative for a viewing of the new Rosenwald documentary and renderings of the upcoming Julius Rosenwald exhibit. The exhibit and documentary, which will be featured at Rosenwald's boyhood home on the Lincoln Home Historic Site, are made possible through an Inclusive Storytelling Grant from the National Park Foundation and other generous donors.

Exciting news! Our “Lincoln’s Springfield” exhibit has won an Interpretive Media Award from the National Association for Interpretation for excellence in exhibits. We thank National Association for Interpretation for this recognition. Located in the historic Corneau House at Lincoln Home National Historic Site, this youth-focused exhibit shares the diverse stories of six Springfield residents representing the promise and potential of the American experiment. We were delighted to create this exhibit in partnership with our National Park Service friends Lincoln Home National Historic Site. Our gratitude to the MG Nelson Family Foundation for their generous support of the project. We also thank McCullough Creative for their creative design services.
