I spoke with CGTN about the downward trend in border crossings and deportations as well as the economic consequences of labor shortages. It still remains to be seen whether sanctuary cities will continue to hold their ground in their refusal to cooperate with ICE. People at all levels of immigration are terrified. From my anecdotal experience, it's not just those with criminal histories that are getting picked up. They are tearing families apart. Again. Additionally, the proposal of the Gold Card is highly unlikely to come to fruition More of my thoughts below

  • ?? URGENT IMMIGRATION UPDATE ?? The way parolees and those apprehended at the border are treated is about to change drastically. If you entered the U.S. on parole (U4U, Cuban, Haitian, Nicaraguan, Venezuelan, etc.) or through CBP-1 and haven’t applied for asylum or been placed in deportation proceedings, you could be targeted for expedited removal. ?? Action Steps: Consult an immigration lawyer ASAP File for asylum if you fear returning to your home country Make sure your case is active and you have a plan This is serious - immigration authorities will be detaining and deporting people who haven’t taken action. ?? • ???? Charro Days 2025 — A Celebration of Culture & Community ?? This past weekend, I had the opportunity to experience Charro Days in Brownsville, Texas — a vibrant, joyful festival that honors the deep ties between the U.S. and Mexico. From the parades to the music, the food, and the beautiful traditions on display, it was a powerful reminder of the rich Mexican heritage that thrives in South Texas. Walking along the border, I felt completely safe and welcomed. Despite the fear-mongering narratives we often hear, there was no sign of invasion — only families, friends, and visitors coming together to celebrate. Locals assured me that this is what life is like here all the time — a strong, connected, and peaceful community. Charro Days is more than just a festival; it’s proof that border communities are full of life, culture, and resilience. I’m grateful to have witnessed this incredible tradition and to see firsthand what makes Brownsville so special. Bing Bong and Popcorn agree we should bring the whole family next year. #CharroDays #BrownsvilleTexas #BorderLife #CommunityAndCulture

To avoid these pitfalls, it’s crucial to prepare your case with strong evidence and address any potential issues upfront. Working with an experienced immigration lawyer can make all the difference. #InmigracionUSA #AbogadaDeInmigracion #NoticiasUSA #OrdenEjecutiva #NoticiasDeInmigracion

  • The Trump administration just announced a new registration requirement for undocumented immigrants through an executive order issued on February 24th, 2025 — threatening civil and criminal penalties for those who don’t comply. But here’s what you need to know: No registration process exists yet — there’s no way to register, even if you wanted to. This is currently just an announcement and a threat. The order relies on a pre-World War I provision of the INA, which is extremely outdated and will likely face legal challenges. History has shown us what government-mandated registrations can lead to — from the Chinese Exclusion Act to Japanese internment — often targeting communities through racial profiling. Litigation is expected. If you’re in an immigration process (with a pending application, receipt notice, or lawful entry), carry proof of your status with you. Keep copies on hand (not the originals) - take a photo and save it on your phone And always always consult with an immigration lawyer for advice tailored to your specific situation. Stay informed. Stay prepared. Your safety and peace of mind are what matter most. #usimmigration #immigrationlawyer #usnews #executiveorder #immigrationnews

  • How do you prove your marriage is valid for immigration? It all comes down to the evidence you provide: Official documents like wills, leases, or shared bank accounts are best. Supporting evidence like photos or affidavits can help, but don’t overdo it. Avoid fraudulent marriages—immigration takes them seriously, and the penalties are severe. Submitting strong evidence upfront can make the process smoother and help avoid issues like home visits or Stokes interviews. If you have questions about your case, schedule a consultation to explore your options. • The latest #BIZARRO immigration news… Trump is floating the idea of a "Gold Card" for ultra-wealthy immigrants who invest millions into the U.S. economy. And apparently, certain Russian oligarchs would qualify. ?? It's no surprise, just another glaring example that he values wealth over people. To be clear: immigrants at every level of wealth and skill are essential to our country’s infrastructure and economy. From the farmworkers who keep our food supply running, to the one in five nurses in Texas who are immigrants, to the engineers and innovators and tech workers — immigrants are the backbone of this country. So much for being the party of merit.
