What a milestone! The Polaris Dawn mission is the first ever commercial space walk in history! With Nigeria aiming to send its first astronaut into space, these dedicated educators are already leading the charge as ambassadors for the limitless possibilities of space education. They’ve hosted two nationwide virtual conferences, bringing in guest speakers, including other Limitless Educators, from across the globe to inspire fellow Nigerian educators. The support they’ve garnered, including a heartfelt letter of appreciation from Oluwabanke Adewusi to the Tutor-general for District VI, shows how vital their work is for shaping Nigeria’s future workforce. LSI can't wait to head to Lagos in two weeks to continue the in-person aspect of the Limitless Global Educator training sponsored by IHS Towers. his #ThrowbackThursday, we're highlighting the University of Maryland team that is working on Direct Fusion Drives using Centrifugal Mirror Confinement. Their Space Power and Propulsion Laboratory team, Director Raymond Sedwick and Research Assistant Jerry Carson, presented some of their updated findings in our Grants and Fellowship share out in April. Today, Hillsboro Charter Academy scholars in Virginia had an amazing opportunity to learn about Nigeria and its vibrant culture through a special Google Meet with Mr. Adeosun's class in Lagos, Nigeria! Students were able to ask each other questions about life in the United States and Nigeria, creating a meaningful exchange of ideas and cultures! This exciting collaboration between Mr. Adeosun and Mrs. Tucker, who are both Limitless Space Institute Educators, is just the beginning of an inspiring journey that ties together the common thread of STEAM and aerospace!
