One of my favorite events of the Lime Connect year as the contest always brings out the most inspiring stories of grit and innovation! Perhaps someone you know has an amazing story to share.
It's truly the most wonderful time of the year! Another amazing opportunity for students and professionals with disabilities is our annual 'In the Limelight' Video Contest! Whether it’s as a student, intern, mid-level manager, or high-level executive, individuals with disabilities bring a unique perspective and diverse talents to the world, universities, and the workplace each and every day. This annual contest aims to highlight that by showcasing how university students and professionals are rebranding disability through achievement. We’re awarding over $20,000 in cash prizes to the top videos (1st place is $10,000!), courtesy of Lime Connect special advisor, Vint Cerf–Google’s Chief Internet Evangelist, “One of the Fathers of the Internet" and the inspiration behind this contest! How it works: If you are a student or a professional with a disability, you must complete our round 1 entry form which includes sharing 150 words via text about your life as a person with a disability and how you are rocking it. By mid-December, our team will select and notify finalists to move to round 2 where you will then submit a short video telling your story. Lastly, winners will be selected by our panel of judges and our Viewer's Choice award will be selected through public voting. To learn more about this contest and to submit your Round 1 entry, visit our website today! https://lnkd.in/egmcweUJ [Image description: Cell phone showcases shots from a diverse group of finalists from previous years.
