AI sparks enthusiasm at MWC 2025 ?? LightCounting discusses highlights from?Mobile World Congress 2025 ?? MWC once again attracted a huge crowd of 109,000 attendees from 205 countries and regions. The #telecom service providers’ spirits were lifted at this year’s event. The #AI wave sparked enthusiasm and optimism. The three Chinese telecom operators began deployments of 5G-Advanced last year and shared progress in 5G-A technology and its applications, like carrier aggregation, RedCap technology, AI, and passive IoT. Huawei and ZTE Corporation demonstrated more compact transmission network equipment at the show. Fujitsu Network Communications launched its 1FINITY P300 800G ZR/ZR+ coherent pluggable transceiver. ?? LightCounting releases Q1 Quarterly Market Update – March 2025 ?? ?? More signs of a broader market recovery ?? Growth across the industry supply chain: telecom and datacom verticals. For a change, all numbers are positive. The #telecom #market finished a lackluster year with a strong #Q4 mainly due to increased spending by service providers in North America. Several equipment and component suppliers commented on signs of continuing recovery in the telecom demand. The #datacom market continues to set new records on a year-over-year basis, but the sequential quarterly #growth was more modest, as?we expected. The March report is based on #financial #data released publicly and LightCounting market survey of #transceiver suppliers. It includes a few estimates since several Chinese suppliers have not reported Q4 financials or contributed data to our survey yet. The final results for optical transceiver sales for #2024 should be available in late April.
