This mission is personal—my uncle got sick when an open-pit mine polluted his drinking water, and, like most of us, I have even closer relatives who have battled cancer after exposure to toxic consumer goods. Every year, hidden toxins contribute to 36% of cancers, 79% of heart attacks, and 90% of liver damage. Regulatory gaps leave us vulnerable to carcinogens and forever chemicals, addictive opioids, and more. And even when harms are uncovered, most victims end up without compensation or a way to pay for their medical bills. We founded Justpoint to fix this broken system. We help people understand what's safe and what's not; let them seek compensation for the harm done to them, their families, and our communities; and deter companies from producing these harmful substances in the first place. Justpoint’s approach uses a unique blend of science, legal strategy, and proprietary AI models that analyze billions of medical data points and detect harmful substances long before regulatory bodies act. Chief Test Pilot Tristan “Geppetto” Brandenburg safely and successfully achieved supersonic speed in XB-1, the first civil supersonic jet made in America. ?New top speed: Mach 1.122 (652 KTAS) ?New max altitude: 35,290 ft. ?Flight time: 34 minutes ?Airspace: Bell X-1 Supersonic Corridor and the Black Mountain Supersonic Corridor in Mojave, CA XB-1 demonstrates that Boom has the team, technology, and tools to deliver supersonic commercial travel with Overture, cutting travel times in half. ??Revolutionizing Drug Development with AI?? We're thrilled to announce that Pathos has closed a $62M Series C funding round led by New Enterprise Associates (NEA) with participation from Revolution and other incredible existing investors! This investment will fuel our mission to reimagine drug development harnessing the power of AI. By leveraging real-world multi-modal data and causal AI approaches, we're identifying the right patients for the right drugs to increase the success rate of phase II clinical trials in oncology. Latest progress: ??? Developed our PathOS Platform by integrating a causal AI framework and ex-vivo approaches to analyze changes in expression levels across all genes, which are both associated with overall survival and known to be regulated by the mechanism of a given drug. These insights have identified differentiated development strategies for our clinical stage oncology assets. ?? Increased our pipeline of precision oncology therapeutics: Most recently, we acquired P-500, a brain-penetrant PRMT5 inhibitor that demonstrated encouraging efficacy data in the phase I trial. We’re actively working to enhance that signal for our next clinical trial. ?? Launch plans are set for P-300, our first oncology asset. Big news today as our Series A closed. We're grateful for the support of our investors as we accelerate rapidly into manufacturing our #longdurationenergystorage technology at scale. #Redoxflow battery developer Allegro Energy has announced completion of a $17.5 million Series A funding round, led by The Grantham Foundation. In a statement on Monday, Allegro co-founder and CEO Dr Thomas Nann said the investment round – which also included Origin Energy, Melt Ventures, and Impact Ventures – would help ”rapidly accelerate our manufacturing capacity”. Allegro describes itself as making “water-based Redox Flow Batteries (RFB) and supercapacitors” that are non-flammable, fully recyclable, “and have no reliance on scarce materials or complex supply chains”. The company was awarded $500,000 in March last year through the now-defunct Accelerating Commercialisation program for?pilot-scale manufacturing of its supercapacitors.? Both its batteries and supercapacitors are based on?a “unique microemulsion electrolyte,” the company said, enabling energy storage “much less expensive and much safer” energy storage. Sam Lefkofsky of The Grantham Foundation added: “We welcome the opportunity to support this revolutionary technology which we believe is poised to change the conversation around clean storage and lead to a rapid adoption of cheaper, cleaner and more abundant energy.” Read more here: https://lnkd.in/gx7q6gSs
