Living Independently for Today & Tomorrow (LIFTT) expresses deep concern and disappointment over recent statements made by President Donald Trump, blaming individuals with disabilities for the tragic airplane crash in Washington, DC. These remarks, made without any formal investigation or supporting evidence, are harmful, unfounded, and perpetuate dangerous misconceptions about people with disabilities. LIFTT rejects any statements made by any person that demean or diminish the capabilities of individuals with disabilities.
