SOPs matter. Without documented processes and SOPs, you're leaving your business exposed to risk. What happens if a key team member suddenly takes time off or leaves? If everything they know is locked in their head, you've got a serious single point of failure. ? When processes are written down, everyone knows the playbook. Not only does this protect against losing institutional knowledge, but it also drives standardization—so tasks get done the same way every time, no guessing, no wasted time. Plus, having clear SOPs makes onboarding new employees a breeze, and that's efficiency in action. ? So, while documenting processes might not sound like the most exciting thing in the world, it's the backbone of a well-oiled, scalable operation. And honestly, we ops folks wouldn't have it any other way.?

When searching for new software for your organization—be it ChurnZero, Monday.com, or Jira—buying without evaluating your existing processes can lead to unwanted outcomes. Remember, software doesn't fix process issues; it merely enables the right ones. Even the best software can't salvage a broken process flow, which often results in a failed implementation. Before making a purchase, take time to reflect on what works and develop your standard operating procedures (SOPs) and plans. This preparation helps prevent your newly acquired software from becoming obsolete. And guess what?
