Bridging Innovation & Patient Care: Dr. Ajay Wasan & Personalized Pain Treatment at LifeX Pitch Craft At LifeX, we help life science entrepreneurs refine their business strategies, sharpen their investor pitches, and connect with industry experts to accelerate their path to market. Last month, we had the privilege of hosting Ajay D. Wasan at our LifeX Pitch Craft event, where he worked on crafting the pitch for his groundbreaking startup, Personalized Pain Treatment (PPT). ?? What is PPT? Personalized Pain Treatment (PPT) is a machine-learning-based software designed to help primary care physicians better manage chronic pain. Using patented algorithms, PPT provides decision support tailored to each patient’s unique pain profile, directing clinicians to the treatments most likely to work. This innovative approach aims to improve patient outcomes while reducing the trial-and-error approach often seen in pain management. ?? Why This Matters With chronic pain affecting millions worldwide, the need for data-driven, personalized treatment strategies is greater than ever. Dr. Wasan brings deep expertise in pain medicine, research, and clinical care as the Vice Chair for Pain Medicine at UPMC and Professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. His work spans 15 UPMC pain clinics and multiple NIH-funded research programs, all focused on advancing chronic pain treatment through clinical innovation and informatics. ?? Thank You, Dr. Wasan!
