关于我们
Lifetime Arts’ mission is to catalyze and connect the people, funding, practical strategies, and bold ideas necessary to embrace all older adults as creative and social learners. We do this by: Providing training, consulting, and information resources to organizations, agencies, and teaching artists who want to develop programming, undo ageism, and grow their leadership Developing new and existing national, state, and local cross-sector partnerships Seeding creative aging programs Documenting and communicating impact to scale the work Convening creative aging leaders across sectors We envision a world where arts education is embraced as a human right and as an essential factor in older adults’ health and well-being. A world without ageism and age silos, where all ages are fully respected, valued, engaged, contributing, creating, collaborating, and learning from each other.

Lifetime Arts works to weave creative aging into the fabric of our communities. We do this by: ?? Championing creative aging as a key part of healthy aging nationwide.? ?? Expanding access to creative aging programs so everyone has a chance to grow, connect, and create. This work takes collaboration, co-leadership, and community support. This summer, our Creative Aging in the West initiative took us across Idaho, Utah, Nevada, Montana, and Wyoming to connect with leaders, artists, and advocates who believe in the power of art to transform aging. Our latest issue of The Creative Aging Resource Journal includes the voices of teaching artists and older adult students who were impacted by programs across the West — from poetry in Vegas to woodworking in Wyoming. Dive into the latest stories of cross-sector partnerships, art equity, and social connection: https://buff.ly/4f8wbYt. Today is the United Nations' International Day of Older Persons! ?? This year’s theme, "Aging with Dignity," calls on all of us—governments, policymakers, and communities—to strengthen care and support systems for older adults around the globe. ??? With the older population growing from 260 million in 1980 to over 761 million in 2021, it's more crucial than ever that we invest in their well-being, health, and dignity. Afterall, it’s a thank you to our future selves. Let's work together to ensure aging is not just celebrated, but also respected and supported across all communities.
