Ten years ago, Lisa Fichman and team came up with the idea to host a "Taste of Senior Living" cooking competition. We were fortunate to celebrate our TENTH anniversary of this event last evening. In 2023, we welcomed 173 guests...last night, we celebrated with 400 attendees! The Beacon Institute's CNA/GNA training program is a six week program which provides both online and in-person instruction. Learners have the ability to complete the classroom portion on-demand online at their convenience (while meeting learning milestones), with lab and clinical portions in person in Columbia, Maryland. Upon successful completion, graduates will be certified as a nurse assistant, with the knowledge and skills necessary to take the Maryland exam to become a geriatric nurse assistant. House Bill 1554 / Senate Bill 1045, which would impose a 2.5 percent sales tax on business-to-business services, will be heard by the House Ways and Means Committee on Wednesday, and testimony must be submitted by 6PM TODAY, 3/10! Here's what to do: 1. Create your account on the MyMGA website by clicking the red "MyMGA" box in the upper right corner and selecting "Register." (https://lnkd.in/euqTjEPh) 2. Write your testimony: It should be a brief explanation of why you oppose the bill and how it will hurt businesses. --Say why you oppose HB 1554 / SB 1045: This tax will hurt businesses, increase costs, and put Maryland at a competitive disadvantage. Give a real-world example. **Keep it short and direct — one page at a maximum. Lawmakers prefer clear, concise points. 3. He began his culinary career after earning a master’s degree in international hospitality management from Baltimore International College. Before joining La Food Marketa in 2016, Bedingfield honed his skills at The Food Market in Hampden.
