Our Interventional Technology team was thrilled to attend the 2024 Aotearoa NZ Anaesthesia ASM in Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland! This event, hosted by the New Zealand Society of Anaesthetists (NZSA), ANZCA New Zealand National Committee, and the New Zealand Anaesthetic Technicians Society (NZATS), brought together the anaesthesia community across Aotearoa. In our annual participation in the CEO Dare to Cure 2024, supporting the Children's Cancer Institute, the team put into action a number of dares this morning at the event at Randwick! A big shoutout to Paul Petherbridge, Liam Gibson, Russell Korth, Jesse Malloy, Kushagra Gupta, and Scott Davis, who challenged their fitness this morning, and Lorelei Walsh and Matt Muscio for starting the day in an ice bath. We get behind this cause every year as cancer remains the leading cause of death by disease among children in Australia. Last weekend, our Neurovascular Intervention team hosted the annual Remind meeting, bringing together doctors from across New Zealand to share their experiences.
