Another group that is available is our Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) for adolescents that are led by child/adolescent therapists who teach teens healthy coping skills, how to deal with uncomfortable and overwhelming feelings, calming strategies, recognizing strengths and increasing self-confidence. The group also covers parent-teen problems, confusion about self, impulsivity, emotional instability, and interpersonal problems. Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for Adolescents is a clinical program within Life Synergy that targets high risk, multi-problem adolescents. We specialize in identifying and treating anxiety, depression, and risky behavior in adolescents, including self-harm, suicidal ideation and suicide attempts, substance use, binging and purging, risky sexual behavior, physical fighting, and other forms of risk-taking. The LIfe Synergy counseling team is dedicated to working with individuals and families to enhance communication and relationships. Incorporating specific strategies helps achieve life balance and ultimately living a happier life. By utilizing motivational interviewing and cognitive techniques, our clinicians help facilitate change among individuals which greatly improves their relationships with others.
