Life Adventure Center is happy to introduce Rachel Rubino as the latest addition to their team. Hailing from Winchester and a long-time Lexington resident, Rachel has a passion for building community and has an extensive background in event planning, the hospitality industry, and nonprofit work.
After a stint at Asbury University in Wilmore, Rachel completed her undergraduate degree in English from the University of Kentucky. During her time working for the Kentucky Blood Center as a Donor Recruitment Specialist, she discovered the importance of community engagement, how one person choosing to step up can transform lives in a positive direction.
While working for Transylvania University as the Special Events Director, Rachel successfully created new events to further the impact of Transy by establishing new, local partnerships.
Rachel is joining L.A.C. as the new Philanthropy and Engagement Manager and will help expand awareness and build out key relationships for continued growth and development of the mission to use outdoor adventure in a trauma-informed setting to build resilience in diverse population groups.
Rachel’s professional expertise and diverse background, combined with her personal commitment to encourage and empower others to become their most authentic selves, makes her a welcome addition to the team.
Outside of the office, Rachel enjoys cooking new recipes, spoiling her six nieces and nephews, and continuing to work on the next great American novel.
