Lieser Skaff is attending the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) + U.S. Law Conference to better assist clients by staying current on trending legal issues in the retail real estate space.

We are honored to announce that Jeffrey Lieser and Ghada Skaff are among the mere 109 managing partners across the state of Florida recognized as “Legal Elite, Notable Managing Partners” for 2024 by Florida Trend magazine. The 109 attorneys were thoroughly vetted for making outstanding contributions to the legal profession. To be selected as a Notable Managing Partner, an attorney must first be nominated by his or her peers. In addition, a nominee must currently serve in a managing partner or equivalent role with a professional staff size of at least 10, must have practiced law for at least 10 years, and must have made a significant impact in their field. Finally, nominees must also mentor other attorneys, promote inclusive practices in the workplace, and show leadership in professional organizations and civic/community service initiatives. The selection committee then looks at how each nominee directs and manages their firm, looking for those managing partners who stand out for their dedication, innovation, and contribution to the practice of law. Honorees are then chosen because they “are leaders, for sure, but mostly they are difference makers — not only in local, state, national and global legal arenas but as mentors within their offices and as volunteers throughout their communities.” Read more here: https://lnkd.in/euKKU4gS

Lieser Skaff is honored to announce that several of our attorneys have once again earned the designation of Super Lawyers? by their peers and legal experts in 2024. Each year, no more than five percent (5%) of the lawyers in the state are selected to receive this honor. The annual selections are made using a patented multi-phase process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates and peer reviews by practice area.

Lieser Skaff continues to grow as we welcome our new associate attorney, Lauren Maier! Construction defects have become common complaints with Florida homeowners as the state's housing demand continues to increase. Lieser Skaff’s co-founder and co-managing attorney, Jeffrey Lieser, talked to 10 Tampa Bay about the important things a buyer can do when purchasing a new home. ? “In addition to your regular punch list and walkthrough with a builder. . .you should hire your own inspector and go above and beyond that. Find a general contractor, someone you trust. Make sure everything is in compliance. Not just the small things." ?
