Our team gathered this past Saturday at Liberty Mountain Resort for it's annual Fall Meeting which exists to put the final touches on our readiness for the 2024/2025 winter season, 59th and counting! We have a crew of extremely dedicated and talented patrollers who come together year after year to serve the guests of Liberty Mountain Resort while putting in A TON of time during the off-season to make themselves and the patrol better. We're especially proud of our connection to the legendary 10th Mountain Division, United States Army - the elite alpine soldiers who not only defended our nation during #WWII but went on to shape modern skiing and ski patrol in #America. Their legacy lives on in every patroller who serves on our slopes. From the snowy peaks of Italy in 1945 to the mountains we patrol today, the spirit of service, courage, and mountain craft connects us all. Many of our National Ski Patrol founders and members were 10th Mountain Division, United States Army veterans who brought their military medical and skiing expertise to create the civilian patrol system we know today.
