For this month's "Pro"-file, we are shining a light on one of our Golf Pros, Anthony King! Anthony is competing this week at the PGA Fields Ranch in Frisco, TX after earning a top spot in the 2024 PGA Championship at Valhalla. Bio: Anthony has been a part of the Liberty Family for 8 seasons now after graduating from Florida State University. He has an Australian Shepherd named Milo who works as a part time goose chaser at the club (and has dreams of becoming full time). Anthony was first elected to the PGA of America in 2016, and this is his first time getting a top 20 spot for the PGA Championship. He looks forward to representing Liberty National and we wish him the best of luck! Hometown: DeLand, FL but he now lives in Colonia, NJ with his girlfriend, Heather. Favorite Hole: Hole 14. "It’s the perfect par 3. This hole is 155 yards max with intimidating visuals. It requires a good, thoughtful shot...even then, it is one of the most difficult holes."

It's officially one month until Liberty National hosts the Mizuho Americas Open! Counting down the days until 120 LPGA players compete alongside 24 top-ranked junior girls on the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) Tour.

Exploring Liberty National: Hole 5 Playing back along the opposite side of the pond on No. 4, this parkland-style hole presents players with perhaps the most demanding tee shot at Liberty National. Players will need to employ a wide variety of clubs from the tee to avoid the water on the left and the mounds and trees on the right. A good drive will leave players with a mid-iron approach to a green well protected by water on the left and a deep bunker on the right.

History lessons with Liberty National????? Long before the club opened on July 4, 2006, a 40-foot scaffolding was placed over where the 18th green was imagined by course architects Tom Kite and Bob Cupp. Dan Fireman would bring prospective members and golf dignitaries for a tour and always have them scale the wood and take in views of the Statue of Liberty, the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge and Manhattan. “You’d stand up there and say, ‘This is what it’s going to feel like,’” Dan says. To this day, that breathtaking feeling hasn't gone away.
