Today is a day we honor the service, dedication and sacrifice of those who served in the U.S. Military. To the veterans working beside us, within our community and beyond, we'd like to thank you for your contribution and commitment to making our Nation the greatest in the world! November is recognized as "National Veterans and Military Families Month." We'd like to thank all our community's Veterans, and the Veterans across our Nation, for their dedication and sacrifice made for our freedom. Liberty Lake Police Department proudly employs 8 out of 25 staff members who served our Country and continue to serve the beautiful City of Liberty Lake. THANK YOU!

Here's a few tips to ensure a safe evening for yourself and others! -When driving, be extra alert to Trick-or-Treaters and other pedestrians. -Reduce your speeds, especially while driving through neighborhood areas. (This goes for golf carts too!) -Make use of crosswalks and pedestrian / traffic signals when available. -Bring a flashlight or other method to illuminate yourself or your surroundings when needed. -Establish a Trick-or-Treat route or plan with your family & friends.

Today we take a moment to remember the lives lost and our entire nation impacted by the devastating events that occurred 23 years ago. We are proud to serve a community, state and nation that stands together and perseveres towards greatness.

According to RCW 46.09.450, vehicles titled as “off road vehicles” are not permitted to be used on public roadways, bike lanes or sidewalks (with exceptions when permitted by local ordinance). This includes the recently trending electric motorcycles, made or sold by brands such as SUR-RON and LUNA. As of right now, there is no way to register these vehicles to be lawfully used or ridden in such a manner. This information is being shared to promote education of laws and provide awareness before enforcement. If you have any questions about laws governing the use of recreational vehicles/cycles/e-bikes/etc, please let us know!

This type of scam has impacted many in our community, and often targets senior citizens. Please share this information to get the word out!
