In her 2024 State of the City address, Boston Mayor Michelle Wu guaranteed a summer job for every Boston Public School high school student. This summer, Liberty proudly contributed to delivering on that promise. We supported 20 summer internships at Liberty and funded an additional 100 jobs for students across the city. Our partnership with Charlestown High School began in 1974, with the goal of better understanding how educators and businesses can work together to empower students. Since then, we’ve hosted Charlestown High students every summer for eight-week internships that are designed to bridge classroom knowledge and on-the-job experience. ??
