In celebration of 150 years of #Liberty, we go behind the scenes of the iconic Tudor building and into the eclectic emporium where our story is retold. As the lights go up and the stage is set, be transported to a world of magic, mystery and charm.

Under the themes of ‘Reclaiming Narratives’ & ‘Celebrating our changemakers’, Liberty celebrated Black Artistry & delved into our archives during this year's Black History Month. We commenced the month in conversation with both established & emerging Black artists Feyi Badejo, Sharon Walters, Xavier Leopold & Péjú Oshin. This panel provided meaningful conversations & insightful explorations of themes essential to the Black artist experience, honouring the rich contributions of Black artists who have & continue to shape our world through their remarkable creativity & vision. Artwork from each artist has been displayed in our Flagship store for the month of October. Many of our customers & colleagues will have also enjoyed listening to the Gospel Rising Choir as the store doors opened earlier this month ?? Shining a spotlight on Althea McNish, iconic textile designer whose painterly botanical prints continue to inspire, revolutionised the world of postwar British design with her bold & beautiful prints – starting with her very first collection, created as a freelance commission for Liberty Fabrics in 1958. An exclusive exhibition on Liberty's Fourth Floor showcased a selection of Althea McNish's work, as well as more information on her life. #LifeAtLiberty #MoreThanAStore?

Christmas always starts early at Liberty, and the arrival of our iconic Beauty Advent Calendar marks the true beginning of the festive season. We caught up with Beauty Buyer Laura Freitas, to hear about the magic behind this special Christmas gift. We are celebrating our 10th Beauty Advent calendar this year! How many advent calendars have you supported with & what changed over the years? 'I have worked on our Advent calendar in numerous roles since we first launched back in 2014 & have led this for the last couple. So much has changed over the years; particularly the competition, as we were the first to create a multi-branded beauty advent'. How do you select the brands and products featured in the calendar? 'Each year we take on board customer feedback, strive to feature best sellers, support new & upcoming brands together, whilst also including new and exclusive products'. What is your personal favourite product this year? 'That would be the La Mer Lip Volumizer'. What is the most rewarding part of working on our iconic Beauty Advent Calendar? 'From concept to delivering the project, there are so many memorable moments - the first sight of the physical final sample, launch day & all the hype, and reading the lovely customer messages that we receive, which contain some truly heart-warming stories'.
