CHANGING TIMES "Things are changing at record pace nationally and at the state and local levels. Economic development is changing too. One thing remains true. Those of us in economic development try to strike the right balance between offering the incentives necessary to attract competitive businesses with the highest and best return for our communities. What might have been offered 10 years ago, or even one year ago, could be different today."

Proud of Liberty County's role in American history and grateful for everyone who has served!
Liberty County, Georgia is so named because it was home to two signers of the Declaration of Independence -- Button Gwinnett and Lyman Hall. Since 1940, it has also been home to the largest Army installation east of the Mississippi River, covering 280,000 acres, which include parts of Liberty, Long, Bryan, Evans and Tattnall Counties. Now headquarters for the United States Army's 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart was named for?Brigadier General Daniel Stewart, a political leader and Revolutionary War hero from?Liberty County, and great-grandfather of U.S. President Teddy Roosevelt. Today, on Veterans Day, we honor every veteran who has served our nation with special gratitude for those souls who passed through right here. Thank you. #LibertyCounty #LibertyCountyProud #HistoricGeorgia #FortStewart #VeteransDay #Grateful #LibertyCountyDevelopmentAuthority
