Last month, Liberty Capital Bank had the honor of having two relay teams participate in the BMW Dallas Marathon. Congratulations to everyone who took part in Dallas’ largest and Texas’ longest-running marathon! What an amazing accomplishment to achieve together while supporting the Marathon’s beneficiary, Scottish Rite for Children. Remembering Ray Balestri, a beloved father, husband, and friend. Ray passed away earlier this month, leaving behind a legacy of intelligence, humor, and deep love for his family. As an original investor in Liberty Capital Bank, Ray joined our Board of Directors a few years ago, bringing an entrepreneurial spirit, fresh ideas, and a keen curiosity. In the time before his passing, Ray played a key role in guiding the Liberty Capital Bank/Texas Heritage Bank merger, generously offering his time and expertise. The merger closed on what would have been his 65th birthday, a fitting tribute to his lasting impact. A Harvard Law graduate with 40 years of experience, Ray led some of Bell Nunnally & Martin LLP's largest transactions and was known as one of the top dealmakers in the U.S. He also taught classes at SMU's Cox School of Business, sharing his knowledge with the next generation of leaders. His contributions to the legal and business worlds were immense, but his true passion was always his family and friends. Ray's unwavering dedication to those around him will be deeply missed.
