As you take time to process the election results, focus on protecting your peace and mental wellbeing. Find the self-care practices that work best for you. If you're looking for something new, or are curious, here are some of the benefits of including somatic practices into your routine. Somatic practices like tapping and breathwork can offer significant benefits for managing difficult emotions such as anger, resentment, and disappointment. These techniques work by engaging both the body and mind to promote relaxation, release tension, and process emotions in a healthy way. ??Tapping on specific acupressure points while focusing on negative emotions can help reduce stress and anxiety levels. This can be particularly helpful in managing the physiological symptoms of anger, resentment, and disappointment. ??Tapping while verbalizing negative emotions can help you process and release pent-up anger, disappointment, and resentment, leading to a sense of emotional relief and clarity. ??When used together, breathwork and tapping can create a powerful synergy. Both techniques emphasize the connection between physical sensations and emotional states. This holistic approach can lead to more comprehensive healing and emotional regulation. If you'd like to incorporate somatic practices like breathwork and tapping into your emotional toolkit, both activities are included in the Libbie app. Click the link below to start your FREE trial today! #electionresults #selfcare #mentalwellbeing #somaticpractices #tapping #breathwork #emotionalhealing #stressrelief #angermanagement #emotionalrelease #libbiehealth #libbieapp #efttapping #mentalhealth #blackwomen #blackwellness #blackmentalhealthmatters

October is Menopause Awareness Month, a time to acknowledge the unique experiences of women as they navigate the significant life transition through perimenopause and menopause. We want to specifically spotlight the challenges faced by women of color and how employers can better support them. The Reality for Women of Color: ?? Earlier onset and longer transition: Black and Hispanic women tend to reach menopause earlier and experience a longer transition period compared to white women. ?? Intensified symptoms: Women of color often report more intense and longer-lasting symptoms, including hot flashes, night sweats, joint pain, and mood swings. ?? Health disparities: Structural racism has a significant impact on the health outcomes of menopausal women of color, particularly Black women. Black women are less likely to receive hormone therapy or seek medical treatment for menopausal symptoms, leading to an increased risk of cardiovascular disease and other health complications. Investing in Women's Wellbeing: Studies show that there's a growing trend of employers offering menopause support. ?The percentage of large organizations (500+ employees) offering or planning to offer specialized menopause benefits increased from 4% in 2022 to 15% in 2023. There also is significant interest in menopause support among employees: ?Over half of workers surveyed considered menopause support benefits to be valuable ?62% of Gen X women, who are most likely to be experiencing menopause, saw value in supportive benefits These statistics demonstrate the need for and potential benefits of workplace support for women experiencing perimenopause and menopause. Implementing supportive policies and culturally competent interventions can lead to improved employee wellbeing, productivity, and retention. Libbie Health is a Culturally Competent Ally: We understand that culturally competent care is essential for women of color navigating perimenopause and menopause. We offer a range of tools and support to empower your employees on their journeys. Together, we can create a more supportive and inclusive workplace for all women.
