Elisha Jewell is working to bring to market a new publishing platform - Lib3. Through the Knoxville Entrepreneur Center, she debuted the idea at the "What's the Big Idea" competition. What makes Lib3 different from the top publishing companies? Incentives. Lib3 combines #blockchain’s transparency with a token-based incentive system that rewards the community’s engagement in reviewing, editing, and publishing processes, linking its value directly to the platform’s success and user participation.

What a great weekend! Last weekend I had a chance to mentor for the "What's the Big Idea?" pitch competition, supporting Elisha Jewell and her amazing concept for Lib3 and a more egalitarian academic publishing model. Last year my cofounder Dustin Gilmer and I were in the hot seats pitching for Vitriform3D, and it was such an honor to work with Elisha and the rest of the mentor team through all of the ups and downs of preparing a pitch in a single weekend! It all came together with help from Victoria Frankel, MS, GS Jackson, Taylor Bozarth, Greer Miceli and the rest of the Knoxville Entrepreneur Center team. "3) doubters can download the digital assets of the experiment that contributed to the research and try to disprove your hypothesis (of course for a fee) using a technology named Loupe.
