We had great day with LGJ36! Check out this post from one of our fellows! Ashley H McLaughlin, PhD - Your words encapsulate the day so well that we just had to share! This is what Leadership Greater Jackson is all about!
What an impactful day! From Municipal Strutures to Community Organizing Giants, we were watered well…pun intended because rain stopped our tour lol. It was a joy to see the amazement and inspiration that many of my classmates experienced learning of the jewels along the campus of Thee I love, Jackson Stste University, the COFO, and thee historic J R Lynch! I’ve bled BLUE for a long time but my heart skipped differently yesterday. Our civil rights leaders did things many of us could never comprehend but we are at place now where we must reckon with the work we will have to do…getting a refresher was an great reminder. We finished the day with an awesome discussion on Psychological Safety and crucial conversations on campus at the Else School of Management at Millsaps College which is very befitting for the work ahead.
