In our latest Science Spotlight, we explore the paper "Analytical Validation of NeXT Personal, an Ultra-sensitive Personalized Circulating Tumor DNA Assay" published in Oncotarget In this paper, Personalis, Inc. describes NeXT Personal, an NGS-based assay for minimal residual disease (#MRD) monitoring of cancer recurrence following treatment. The team used the Seraseq?ctDNA MRD Panel Mix for whole genome sequencing of tumor and matched normal gDNAs to mimic determination of a patient-specific mutation profile, then sequenced dilutions of ctDNA to detect those mutations at very low concentrations.
