A lot of company's say it, but as a small, independent company, community outreach is crucially important to us. From the vendors we work with to the communities we serve, giving back is integral to who we are and how we operate. That's why we launched the Love Squad this year -- a group of employees dedicated to our mission and vision who find fun and creative ways to build internal culture and external relationships. We recently took an outing to Feed My Starving Children -- a reputable Minnesota-based nonprofit organization that provides hope and food to children around the world through meals packed and prepared by volunteers. Our team helped pack a total of 80 boxes of food, totaling 17,280 meals and 47 kids fed daily for a year. We recently had the pleasure of touring O'Hare International Airport with students and staff of Felicity School in Deerfield, IL. Felicity School is a private therapeutic day school for Chicagoland students who are eligible for special education services. Many of these young adults come from unstable homes and/or are diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Emotional Disability (ED; i.e. depression), Learning Disability (LD; i.e. dyslexia), and Other Health Impairment (OHI; i.e. post-traumatic stress disorder). At Felicity School, students are provided with the resources to develop a sense of self-worth, accept responsibility, and become equipped to make healthy life choices. We are excited to share that we have partnered with Felicity School to open Love From Felicity -- a grab-and-go concept at ORD that will feature foods prepared and packaged by students of Felicity School. Love From Felicity is expected to open in January 2025.
