Six months ago, the Latino Restaurant Association (LRA) reached out to the James Beard Foundation with a suggestion to broaden their leadership spectrum by offering more positions to individuals of color. It is with great pride that I can now attest to the remarkable progress made in this regard. The Board's response has been nothing short of outstanding. One of the most significant strides the James Beard Foundation has taken is their ongoing series of interviews with numerous Latino leaders. By actively seeking out and amplifying the voices of Latino professionals, they have demonstrated a sincere commitment to inclusivity and representation.
