We're excited to announce our latest project with a family-owned farm in Northeastern Wisconsin! Collaborating closely with the owners, our expert team has implemented two anaerobic digesters and a biogas upgrader on-site—transforming dairy manure into RNG and valuable byproducts. This facility is set to produce enough clean energy to power over 1,000 homes annually! Julie Veldhius, Director of Business Development, shared, “These anaerobic digesters reduce greenhouse gas emissions and produce nutrient-rich fertilizer. The solution provided by LF Bioenergy, HoSt Group and Bright Renewables North America helps this farm achieve their environmental goals and provides a source of renewable energy.” Projects like these are enhancing sustainability, boosting efficiency and driving financial success for U.S. dairy farmers and stakeholders alike. LF Bioenergy has launched Phase 1 of a new RNG project with Christian Hill Dairy LLC in southeastern Wisconsin. The farm, managed by the Christian brothers -- Patrick, Chris, Curt and Bob -- and their parents Dale and Mary, has been in the family for over 100 years. ? The first step is installing a Stjernholm sand separation system. This technology enables the continued use of sand bedding for optimal cow health and comfort. It also improves the efficiency of the LF RNG facility by separating the sand and manure before the manure enters the anaerobic digester system. The sand will get washed and reused to deliver an added #environmental benefit. ? Martin Construction Resource is leading the facility’s construction. Once operational, the facility will produce 350 MMBtu of gas daily — an amount that equates to removing 16,148 gasoline-powered cars from the road annually, according to US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) estimates. #FarmersFirst #RNG #Renewables #GoGreen

We’re pleased to announce that commercial operations have officially launched at our newest facility, located in Central Wisconsin. In collaboration with the dairy owner, we’ve successfully transitioned their third-generation, family-owned dairy farm from electricity to renewable natural gas production, utilizing their existing infrastructure and supporting long-term sustainability for the farm. “We’re proud of our partnership with this dairy farm, an early adopter of manure-to-energy digester technology in the early 2000s,” said Brent Lilienthal, President and CEO. "We've worked hand in hand over the past year to tackle any challenges that arose, exemplifying LF’s Farmers First approach.” At full capacity, the facility will produce approximately 65,700 MMBTu of RNG annually. This methane, left uncaptured, would result in greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to driving a passenger vehicle 89 million miles. #LFBioenergy #RNG #renewablenaturalgas #environment #biogas #sustainability #agriculture #energy #renewableenergy

LF Bioenergy’s Brian Flis, Cyn S. French, Operations Support Manager Patrick Toms and Sandy Stauffer of Stauffer Farms, hosted Mark Murray, MBA, President Liberty New York Gas, Jeffrey Greenblatt, Director of Legal Services for Liberty, and Ryan Hayes, Senior Manager of Engineering for Liberty to welcome Commissioners of the New York State Department of Public Service to our LF 1 renewable natural gas (RNG) dairy facility. It was a privilege to showcase the cutting-edge technology we implemented at Stauffer Farms over a year ago, partnering with Liberty to deliver premium-quality pipeline gas to the greater Upstate New York Region. The tour provided a firsthand view at our meticulous process of converting methane from manure into valuable biogas, supporting carbon neutrality for farmers and reducing emissions that impact air and water quality in local communities. Commissioners David Valesky and Denise Sheehan traveled to the North Country to help answer questions about the benefits of RNG to the environment, farm, and nearby community. Having the opportunity to demonstrate the tangible value and safety of our RNG operations on-site underscored the essential role partnerships — like ours with Liberty— play in advancing sustainable farming and energy solutions. “We have a professional team comprised of experts from the US Dairy and Agricultural Industry, but we also have a technical team well versed in energy, utility prowess, digester operations, manure systems, engineering design, construction, and operational safety,” said Brian Flis, Co-Founder and Chief Development Officer of LF Bioenergy. “Safety is trained in everything we do on each RNG site. We conduct training and maintenance daily, which enhances the quality of pipeline gas being injected into Liberty’s distribution system”. “It was an amazing day with our commissioners, and I personally enjoyed getting to show them the great work that LF Bioenergy, Stauffer Farms, and our team have done to get this RNG facility to where it is today,” said Mark Murray, MBA, President, Liberty – New York Gas. “Equally impressive is the impact this is having on the environment. This facility was emitting a substantial amount of greenhouse gases that is now being completely contained, cleaned, and transformed into renewable natural gas to fuel homes and businesses across our area. This is a high-tech, world-class facility, and we are proud to be a part of it.” Reflecting on our guiding principles, Cyn French, Co-Founder and EVP of Feedstock and Marketing, added, “LF Bioenergy’s core values are modeled by a ‘Farmers First’ approach, prioritizing trust and transparency with each of our farmer partners." Thank you to Liberty New York Gas and the Commissioners of the New York State Department of Public Service for your continued commitment to a cleaner future for us and our farmers! #LFBioenergy #RNG #renewablenaturalgas #environment #biogas #NewYork #greenenergy #libertyutilities

Last week, our CEO Brent Lilienthal had the pleasure of visiting several RNG facilities across the EU, including HoSt Group/Bright Renewables' Wabico plant in the Netherlands. This plant captures liquid organic waste and converts it into RNG, as well as captures CO2 and processes it into fertilizer that is then exported to France. Wabico is just one example of the notable ways the EU is leading the charge in renewable energy, not only by reducing pollution but creating a circular economy. With over 18,000 digesters, their collective dedication to land stewardship and maximizing resource use through such innovation serves as a great aspiration for what we can achieve in the U.S. “Europe has embraced the circular economy, I am grateful to see the US market increasingly recognizing these benefits and making significant investments into RNG as well,” Brent reflects on his visit to Wabico. By embracing innovation and adopting more RNG programs grounded in robust lifecycle analyses, we can deliver net gains for both the environment and the economy, building a future that benefits farmers, the economy and the planet. #LFBioenergy #RNG #renewablenaturalgas #environment #biogas #netherlands #sustainability #agriculture #energy #renewableenergy
