?? Applications Open for the 2025 Doris Burkett Scholarship! ?? Since 1995, the Doris Burkett Scholarship has supported a deserving Lexington student each year with a $5000 scholarship. This scholarship honors the legacy of Doris Burkett, the late Executive Director of the Lexington Chamber of Commerce and proud graduate of Gilbert High School. The scholarship is awarded to one Lexington County School District One student pursuing a four-year college, university, or technical college. The recipient will be selected based on their: ? Academic Success – Must have a weighted GPA of a maxiumum of 4.0 ? Financial Need – Assistance is available for those who need it ? Ambition for Excellence – A drive to succeed ? Extracurricular Involvement – Participation in activities beyond the classroom ? Community Engagement – Volunteering and church involvement ?
