A huge THANK YOU to everyone who donated and supported our Shoe Drive! With your generosity, we collected over 500 pairs of shoes, which will make a huge difference in the lives of those in need. ?? Not only did each individual receive shoes, but we were able to offer them prayer and show them God's love. A special thank you to the churches who generously contributed to our shoe drive event. Last year we were able to help dozens of homeless men, women, and children move into permanent housing! Our caseworkers determine each client's readiness for long-term housing, connect them with landlords, pay 50% of move-in expenses, and provide them with long-term support. During our Homeless Intervention Program Support Group, we worked on an activity that focused on each individual's hope for the future! We spent the afternoon sharing a meal together and making vision boards. This allows each person to think about their future and create a board filled with opportunities they want to work toward. ?? Lexington Rescue Mission is more than just a rescue mission. We are restoring lives through a variety of programs and initiatives. ?? Over the past 20 years, we have grown and changed to meet the needs of those we serve, including help with food, finding affordable housing, getting off the streets, connecting to treatment, getting back on their feet in our transitional housing, finding lasting employment, and re-entering the community after incarceration.
