Some 23,000 people from almost every country on earth are attending #COP16Colombia in Cali. While it's easy to get lost in the official jargon of the world's most important biodiversity forum, we all speak the same language when discussing the urgency of conserving, managing and restoring earth's imperiled biological richness. Today's must-attend #COP16 event will be unlike any other you've seen at this year's gathering. It takes us on a stunning visual journey through #Colombia, #India and #Kenya where CGIAR's Nature-Positive Solutions Initiative and hundreds of partners are building innovative projects that align the needs of people and fragile agricultural ecosystems. The work was documented by The Lexicon, whose mission is to help people pay closer attention to what they buy, how they live, and where their responsibility begins for creating a healthier and safer planet for all. The Lexicon's outstanding artworks document the tireless efforts of countless small-community biodiversity champions in those three countries. The event will also unveil a website where people can dive into the six pillars of the #EcologicalBenefitsFramework. This common language expresses the benefits created or supported by the Initiative's work across six key #EocystemServices: air, water, soil, biodiversity, equity, and carbon. The website will demonstrate how CGIAR's collaborative work on #NaturePositiveSolutions contributes to #FoodSystemsTransformation for people and the planet.
