Earlier this month, we hosted Science of Reading Week—a transformative week of live sessions dedicated to your growth as a literacy leader. Whether you’re just starting out or nearing mastery, this event provided actionable tools, expert insights, and collaborative support to drive measurable, equitable literacy success. We also asked educators to describe the impact of the Science of Reading on their teaching careers in just ONE word. Their responses? Transformative.? Empowering.? Growth.? Clarity.? Life-changing. The Science of Reading is more than just a framework—it’s a movement that strengthens instruction and drives student success. Missed Science of Reading Week? With teacher training, staffing, and time constraints among the biggest hurdles, education leaders say they need more professional development and better support to help struggling middle and high school readers get back on track. I had the opportunity to attend the Lexia Learning Science of Reading Leadership Summit in Washington, D.C., last week. District leaders from Maine to North Carolina were asked to share an elementary-aged book that left an impact on them. The Lexia team then surprised them with their beloved books at the event! All participants wrote personal notes to the books' future readers. This Summit Library was then sent to a local school in D.C. #ScienceofReading #Literacyforall #Lexia4Literacy

Women have been driving innovation in AI, yet their contributions often go unrecognized, leaving gaps in representation that impact both the technology and its users. When AI tools fail to reflect diverse experiences, they unintentionally exclude women—contributing to a 25% lower adoption rate of generative AI among women, partly due to the perception that using it is "cheating." By stepping into AI’s development, challenging biases, and educating one another, women can not only close this gap but also help shape a more inclusive and equitable future in education.
