Congratulations to Pacific Fusion on their $900M+ Series A! We are excited to see them accelerate their work to develop a pulsed magnetic fusion system that will reach net facility gain by the early 2030s. Pacific Fusion has the potential to provide the world with the abundant, affordable, clean energy needed to meet our climate goals. In October, Lewis-Burke Associates LLC hosted Science Policy Fellows from the Entomological Society of America during their fall visit to Washington, DC, to meet with federal agency leadership to discuss federal initiatives supporting entomological research. The Fellows enjoyed a successful trip, and we look forward to continuing to support the crucial initiatives of the ESA Science Policy Fellowship.

Those of you who know me, know I've been a big advocate for #apprenticeship. Yesterday, I had the privilege of representing Lewis-Burke Associates LLC at the U.S. Department of Labor's Apprenticeship Ambassador Recognition Ceremony at the The White House. The opportunities for #highereducation to embrace apprenticeship are boundless. Some institutions have embraced the natural overlap between #highered's mission to educate and train with the #workbased learning and #earnandlearn model that is apprenticeship. Looking forward to continuing to advance "the best kept secret" that is apprenticeship within higher education. Workforce Practice Group Chair William Otto Katt recently represented LBA at an Apprenticeship Ambassador Recognition Ceremony held at the White House. #Education and #workforcedevelopment come together in #apprenticeship and LBA is proud of its efforts to lift up the use of this model.

Thrilled to have participated in the SIAM hosted and #NSF sponsored Quantum Intersections Convening last week! It was exciting to see so many mathematicians learning and dreaming about #quantum. We need to build more quantum #interdisciplinary research communities that engage #mathematicians, #engineers, #computerscientists, and others to build future quantum innovation and discoveries.
