Lewis-Burke is proud to support the Tufts University Food is Medicine Institute’s 2nd Annual Food is Medicine Hill Day. Elizabeth Stulberg, Dominique Carter, PhD, Dominique Foster, Isabella Izquierdo, and Kiana Newman each led teams of researchers, community workers, doctors, and many others as they met with staff from offices representing districts across the country. The meetings featured The Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University, Christina Economos Dean of The Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University and Tufts Food is Medicine Director Dariush Mozaffarian, seen speaking with Food is Medicine champion Senator Cory Booker. LBA’s own Dominique Carter, PhD had the honor of moderating a session titled, "Harnessing the Power of Artificial Intelligence for Consumers" at the 48th National Food Policy Conference, focused on the future of food systems at the intersection of policy, technology, and innovation. The discussion explored the transformative potential of artificial intelligence (AI) in advancing food safety, nutrition, and sustainability. As AI rapidly reshapes numerous sectors, the food industry is no exception. The session also examined the vital role of public policy in ensuring that AI serves the public interest.
