University of Texas |??Austin, Texas The interior design of the UT Grad Student Housing project was crafted to strike the perfect chord between style and function, much like the vibrant and eclectic music scene of Austin. Burnt orange, the heartbeat of the University’s identity, was woven into the design with a refined touch—appearing in plush seating, textured upholstery, and patterned carpet tiles in an array of rich shades. The Merle on Howard |??Manor, Texas Located just minutes from Austin, Texas, The Merle is a 444-unit apartment complex focused on comfortable living and amazing amenities. The client’s goal was to bring funky Austin vibes to the suburbs. The design is based on combining natural materials, thoughtful detailing, and furniture that you want to sit in to create an authentic, lived in atmosphere. Texas-inspired artwork and oversized graphics give the space a little edge. The golf simulator, resort-style pool, gym, jogging trails, and pickle ball courts are added appeal for residents who crave an active lifestyle. LEVY DYKEMA styled the golf lounge, pool, and gym to be welcoming, functional, and fun. LEVY DYKEMA recently had the privilege of volunteering with TreeFolks, an organization that engages thousands of volunteers to connect with people in the community to plant trees in Central Texas. We could not have asked for better weather while preparing sampling wrappers (which looked like an architect's school project), to sorting seeds and seeding. The four hours flew by, leaving us feeling fulfilled and accomplished. We're already looking forward to returning later this month!
