This year was challenging, on many fronts, many of us including myself have experienced the market freeze first hand, topped by international and domestic turmoil which has been very personal for me on many levels. On the day of the Iranian missile attack, 181 ballistic missiles were launched at the tiny state of Israel, sirens in the background and wife rushing the kids to the shelter, the Israeli CIO is calling from the hospital because his cousin is badly wounded in a military operation in Nablus. The reason for the call: How soon can we close? (wait what!?) In stark contrast to many U.S funds who have been sitting on the sideline due to uncertain market, and FNMA loan pulling back proceeds, our Israeli LP raised all the equity while at war. Very proud to be Israeli and I am pleased to have helped negotiating various challenges and bring this one across the finish line. This marks our fourth project with the limited partner, and first of many with the general partner.
